"Homegrown" Layout- Imaginisce & Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog Swap

I hope you all had a fabulous Valentine's Day.  I spent the day at my kids' school helping with their class parties, and then had a fun night.  My husband and I make a big deal out of Valentine's Day.  We went out on a date to our favorite steakhouse and went to see a sweet girly movie called "The Vow."  It was great.

The Imaginisce Design Team got a really fun assignment this week to create projects using products from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.  This is the layout I made for the Blog Hop happening this week on the Imaginisce Blog.  "Hop" on over there to see all of the other fun projects all this week.

The paper and embellishments are from the "Berrylicious" collection by Imaginisce.  I made the sun by cutting wedges of 3L's Adhesive Sheets and adhering them to my layout, keeping the backing on the adhesive sheets.  Then I removed the backing from every other strip and covered them with orange (tangerine) chunky glitter by Doodlebug.  The glitter sticks perfectly!  Then I uncovered the rest of the strips and covered them in yellow (bumblebee) chunky glitter.  When doing a technique like this, use the darker glitter first, and then the lighter one.
I placed 3L Thin Foam Squares under the paper strips of the sun to pop them up and give some dimension.

The "banner" is made of hand cut seed packets from a sheet of patterned paper from the collection.  I placed 3L Thick Foam Squares under them to give them extra dimension.  The twine is Doodletwine by Doodlebug in tangerine from the Primary Doodletwine Assortment.  Wow- that's a tongue twister! :)

These photo corners are also from 3L, and there are more Thick Foam Squares under my title and the strawberry.

I also did a ton of stitching on this layout.  I think Berrylicious and stitching just go together.  This line is too cute!  Summery and warm, unlike the weather here :)
Remember to stop by the Imaginisce Blog for more fun projects!
Thanks for stopping by, and thank you for your sweet comments.  I really appreciate all my readers.
