Doodlebug and Page Maps- 1st Day of School Layout

Doodlebug teamed up with Page Maps this week for some fun layouts.  We were able to choose any Page Map from the website to create a layout with any collection we wanted.
Fun, huh?

I chose this map from May 2013 for my layout:

And I used one of my favorite Doodlebug collections ever- Take Note.
Here's my layout

These photos are six years old!  Going back through all these old photos makes me a little sad how fast my kids are growing!  This is my son on his first day of preschool.

The twine was adhered using a Zig Two-Way Glue Pen.  All of the patterned papers, stickers, and embellishments are from Take Note.

Thanks for visiting!

Summertime Party with Pebbles!

It's HOT HOT HOT outside here in Utah and I'm ready for a summer filled with swimming and outdoor parties!  I created a little party using the Party with Amy Locurto collection by Pebbles.

The lantern was cut using the Lantern Die by Lifestyle Crafts (from the Tropical Splash release).
The pillow box and other treat boxes were cut using Silhouette files by Lori Whitlock, and the party hat was also cut using the Silhouette with a file by Samantha Walker.

The pics were easy.  I just used the pre-made rosette stickers from the collection, removed the rhinestone from the center and added a scalloped sticker on top.

The card was printed from Word onto vellum and adhered onto the front of patterned paper using vellum adhesive.

The banner was cut using a paper trimmer, and the rosettes were made using American Crafts cardstock and  Tacky Tape.  The letters were done using the Silhouette cameo and a basic font (sorry I can't remember which one) and the tags were simply cut out of a 12x12 sheet of patterned paper from the collection and adhered.  Then I punched holes with a hole punch and threaded the banner with twine.

Easy, cute and fun!

Thanks for visiting!

"All American"- Doodlebug

Doodlebug is having a whole week of projects in honor of the boys in our lives.  Right now baseball is our nightly routine- 5 days a week- so it's all that's on my mind, and it's running our household.
BUT- It is my favorite sport, and as the season has progressed both of my boys have had more and more fun.

This layout features the new "Stars and Stripes" collection by Doodlebug.  It's perfect for 4th of July projects, of course, but I also thought it would be fitting for an "All American" baseball layout- as baseball is the American Pastime.  Isn't my little Yankee a stud? :)

Pebbles Flowers Week- Life Is "Beauty Full" Layout

It's "Flowers" week on the Pebbles Blog- and my favorite line right now (or EVER) from Pebbles is Lakeside.  I LOVE THIS COLLECTION!
I love the colors, the wood die cuts (they're REAL WOOD), the gift tags, the Chips chipboard embellishments, I love the dainty little patterns on the patterned paper, and the adorable images.  I grew up camping and boating and roaming the mountains and the lakes, and this collection speaks to my heart! :)

This background pattern is my favorite of the collection.  I wanted to use it first, I love the multi colored triangles that look like chevron.  Triangles are the new trend.  And chevron is still trendy.
It's a cute mix of all the little patterns.  So cute.

The embellishments are mostly from the Chips chipboard pack, but there are also some Gift Tags as well.
I also used paper from the 6x6 Paper Pad.  I love these little pads.

These photos are of my brother and his new fiance on their engagement day.
Aren't they the cutest couple!  We are so excited to welcome her into our family.
