Pebbles Basics Blog Hop- Baby Gift Set

(Giveaway closed)

Welcome to the Pebbles Design Team "Basics Blog Hop!"
We're sharing our Pebbles Basics projects with you today and there are lots of giveaways, so be sure to check by each designer's blog to increase your chance of winning!

For this blog hop, the Pebbles team was challenged to create a project of their choice using the Pebbles Basics collection. We really wanted to show you just how versatile this line is...

Here's how today's blog hop is going to work...Visit each blog, leave a sweet note and in some cases enter to win a Pebbles mini giveaway. Once you've stopped by each site, come back and enter to win a collection of Pebbles Basics products worth $200 (that's a lot of product folks!).

Using the Basics collection makes these two projects super fast and easy.
The banner was made using the Banner Kit, which includes 24 pre-cut banners and matching twine.

The Basics collection makes card making easy, too.  This card was made using the Cardmaking Pad for the base, and Cards & Pockets for the money holder.  I embellished with Chips and Rhinestone Flowers, a banner from the Banner Kit, a Mini Clothespin and more cute twine.

The letters were cut using the Cricut Expression and the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge.  I cut them at 2".
The scalloped circles were cut using an EK Success paper punch.

Did you notice the cute stamped sentiment on my card?
It's from the awesome new date stamp by Pebbles!

I simply rolled the letters where I wanted them for the sentiment and as I rolled I pushed the words into clusters.  The rubber is pretty flexible so it will move a little to where you need it.

Then I simply inked the area I wanted and stamped!

The other Pebbles team members have come up with some really, really amazing projects too. Here's a sampling...

Makin' Waves Release Party! and only 5 more days to win an I-Top tool package!

I have to apoligize...my post stayed in "draft" mode instead of being posted.  You can see all the fun today ;)

I don't know about you, but I'm definitely ready for summer weather.
We get hit hard with cold temperatures here in Utah, and though I love the snow, I'm ready for fun in the sun!

This week on the Imaginisce Blog it's Makin' Waves Release Week.  The designers have created lots of bright colored, warm weathered, cute and happy summer projects that we can't wait to share with you.  Lucky for me, I get to share my projects with you today!!!

"Hot Summer Days"
This layout is about our family trip to California.  We had a great time in the heat and sun until we went to the beach.  We weren't aware of "June Gloom" and the beach was freezing :)
We had a good time anyway.
The inspiration for the layout came from the "Summer Fun" die-cut in the lower left corner.  It gave me the idea to do the entire layout with equal size squares.  I did some subtle stitching and used lots of dimensional foam adhesive under the die cuts.  I also used the i-Rock under the title.  The little blue studs add a lot to the layout.

"Makin' Waves"
My family spends a LOT of time at the beach all summer long.  Here in Utah we get the best of both worlds: great snow in the winter for skiing and snowboarding, and hot summers with great lakes for boating, water skiing and wakeboarding.  We're big into outdoor adventure here :)
I have endless "boating" photos, but this one's a darling shot of my two boys who are best friends playing together in the sand next to the beautiful blue Bear Lake.
I used an i-Rock flourish Motif on this layout, which accentuates the look of the waves.  The i-Rock is really a fun tool, and since I love any form of "bling" it's a favorite of mine.  This flourish comes like this on heat resistant plastic that you just iron on with the i-Rock mini iron.  It makes really fast work.  They're also great for fabric application.  I also misted the layout with Tattered Angels glimmer mist in Turquoise.  It gives the illusion of real water mist spraying off the waves.

Want to see more fun Makin' Waves projects?
Head on over to the Imaginisce Blog to see some of the other designers' creations.

Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget, only 5 more days to enter the I-Top tool package giveaway.

Imaginisce for Core'dinations Cardstock and a Giveaway!

This week Imaginisce teamed up with Core'dinations Cardstock to create some fun projects.
We're playing with Core'dinations' fabulous color core cardstock, and they're playing with our I-Rock tool.

Fun fun fun.

I'm in love with this cardstock.  It's super heavy duty, the texture's beautiful, and it embosses and distresses so perfectly.  There are tons of colors to choose from, too, all with a beautiful color in the core that comes through when it's torn, embossed or distressed.
You can see all of the Imaginisce Design Team's projects this week on the Imaginisce Blog.

I decided to make two cards with the Hippity Hop collection.

The scalloped oval is a Lifestyle Crafts nesting die, as well as the oval on top of it.  I die-cut the egg with the Picturesque Cricut cartridge, cut the top with some decorative edge scissors, and covered it with strips of embossed Core'dinations cardstock.  I embossed the strips with some skinny Cuttlebug folders.  The designs on the embossing folders reminded me of an easter egg, so there you go!

Isn't the colored core great?
This next card I decided to call "Showered With Love"

The clouds are from the Pooh and Friends Cricut cartridge and are embossed with the Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirls embossing folder.

Both cards were sanded over the embossed areas to show the colored core.

Sweetheart Release "Engagement Day" Layout- Lifestyle Crafts, Discount Code, and Another GIVEAWAY!

Lifestyle Crafts released it's newest dies yesterday called Sweetheart.  Today I'll show you a layout I did using the Hearts die, and later in the week I'll show you the rest of my projects, including lots of cards.

This is my husband and I the day we got engaged.  He took me on a long hike up to our favorite spot in the mountains above the city where we live and proposed to me.  It was Christmas morning.  I can't even tell you how amazing that day was.  I'll never forget it.
These hearts were done using the Hearts die.

The ruffled ribbon is from Stampin' Up!'s newest catalog, and the ruffled-looking edge was done using the Edge-It's die set.
The paper and embellishments are from an SEI pack called Chocolat.

Here are all the new dies in the release.
And as always, you can save 20% on your online purchase HERE when you type in coupon code RHINESTONES at checkout.

Family Christmas Card 2011 & Win an iPad 2!

Merry Christmas to all of you!
Here's my family Christmas card this year.  I made it using Stampin' Up!'s digital design program "My Digital Studio" as well as Echo Park's Sleigh Ride digital kits and of course, Lifestyle Crafts photobooth props found HERE.

The photos were a blast to take (you should see all the outtakes :) the kids were hilarious.  They couldn't stop laughing.  Usually you have to try hard to get kids to smile for photos, but this time we had to tell them to hold still and try not to laugh and smile "less!" Best family photo experience EVER!

Also, it's Week 8 in the "I Made This" Campaign, and Lifestyle Crafts has another giveaway:
December 20-January 3, we'll be giving away an iPad 2!
To enter, just share the contest link on facebook. You get an extra entry for liking Lifestyle Crafts on facebook and writing about the contest on your blog. (Make sure you leave a comment on this post on L Blog saying what you've done to enter and tell them "Rhinestones and Ribbon sent me").  More information can be found HERE.

And just in case you forgot what the I MADE THIS Campaign is, check out this post to learn how you could win the Grand Prize of a digital SLR camera, printer, mac computer, craft space and more just by adding projects to the Lifestyle Crafts community gallery.

Countdown!

Lifestyle Crafts newest release of cutting dies debuted today on the L Blog
This release is all about party planing, celebration, and fun!

Here are some of the projects I created using this new release:

Patterned paper by Bo Bunny

Recognize this?  Here's the full view of my layout.  Isn't the paper divine?  The black velvet chenille paper is Doodlebug and the other papers are Making Memories and Best Creation.  I even made more of my own custom paper to match using the L Letterpress, Damask printing plates, and silver letterpress ink.

For Time and All Eternity
The pearls are Prima and the tulle flowers are Making Memories.
The clock die is my favorite of this new release.  Here I cut it using vellum.

And this is an "Edge It's" die.

The Labels die makes it fun and easy for you to create custom party favors and labels for anything.  Here I used the labels die on this bottle, and also on.....
This card.  The labels have die-cut slits in the side to slide through ribbon.
This card also features the L Letterpress and the Damask and Flourish printing plates and black and silver ink.

Lifestyle Crafts Embossing Folders Release

Lifestyle Crafts has some beautiful new embossing folders that are featured today on the L Blog.  Here are some of the projects I created with these folders.

The first card features the Edge It's dies as well as the Wildflower Gift Set dies.  The third card features the Foliage die from the Be Stuffed release.

I LOVE embossing!  Dry embossing, as seen here, and also heat embossing, which you've seen before in some of my stamped projects.
These cards all feature My Mind's Eye patterned papers and elements from the Wild Asparagus, Tres Jolie and Signature Life collections.  I went for a more vintage, weathered, shabby chic look by using sanding blocks over the embossed areas to enhance the patterns and let the core of the paper show through, and also sanded other areas of the cards as well as using inks for distressing, and of course, ribbon!

Here is the new collection.  They come in sets of two.
Floral Collection:
Whimsy Collection:
Dainty Collection:
Classic Collection:
