Pebbles "Yours Truly" Valentine's Cards

I'm loving the "Yours Truly" collection!  I played with it again today and made a layout that you'll see soon on the Pebbles blog.  I just love pink and aqua, and the elements in this collection are perfection.

These three cards are completely different and unique, and show the versatility of the Yours Truly collection.
This first one reflects my style the most.  I like white space and clustering.  I guess it's just what I do :)

But I also love cards with lots of interesting detail, and I love ribbon and big bows on cards.
I added a bit of sewing detail.

And this last one is a good balance between both.  Clean and cute.
Machine stitching again, and lots of dimensional foam adhesive.

My home is starting to fill with "Yours Truly" home decor, layouts, and cards.
They're everywhere, and there's more to come!

Doodlebug "Neighbor Gift Ideas"- Caramel Apples

Our traditional neighbor gifts are Caramel Apples.  We've been making these babies since 2006, and they're a labor of love, let me tell you. :)

We buy the biggest granny smith apples we can find, and the best caramel and white chocolate coating, and we've perfected the technique. Most of the time we add cinnamon-sugar to the outside, but we've also done toffee, candies, or chocolate drizzles.  Yummy!!!

(The cinnamon-sugar is my favorite- just like Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory)

I made this super simple card using Doodlebug's "Simply Put" cards, added it to a white piece of cardstock and then a green cardstock base, and then added a sticker with dimensional adhesive, and a "Mini Bow" that are Doodlebug's cute little embellishment kits that coordinate with the "Home for the Holidays" collection.

The apple was simply dressed with another bow, some twine, and a sticker!

Don't you wish you were my neighbor? :)

Pebbles "From Me To You" Cards (Edited)

These cards were made using the "From Me To You" collection from Pebbles.  Two of the cards include the gorgeous gold rub-on sentiments.

Can you see the gorgeous shine?

This card was made with the polaroids from a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock, as well as some stickers and page pebbles, and a little bit of American Crafts cardstock.

And this card once again uses the gold rub-ons, some chipboard, American Crafts cardstock, and a doily cut from a Lifestyle Crafts die.

Doodlebug Halloween Project

Where have I been?
Well.....
my brother got married
the kiddos started school again
I'm preparing to interview for a new job
and... I'm starting graduate school Monday to get my Master's degree

So. so. sorry :)
I'm back.

First up, I made these cute little Halloween Party Invitations for the Doodlebug Blog.
I'm loving this new collection and their new embellishments:
Mini Pockets
Doodads (badges)
Simply Put Cards (4x6 card packs)
and Sprinkles! (which you'll see soon on another project)

This is a fun way to create party invitations.  Just use a Simply Put 4x6 card, add a Mini Pocket, and embellish.  Easy easy.

I added some Doodle Twine and some stickers and Fancy Frills border stickers.

Just write your message on the card for a fast invitation!

A Doodlebug Baby Shower!

My sister just had her first little girl, so I wanted to do a family shower for her to help out with all the cute little pink things she would need.  My mom threw it at her house, and did the centerpiece and the food, and I did the decorations and invitations.  It turned out really cute.

You can find a similar invitation to this in the Create: Baby magazine from 2012 that was designed for a little boy.  The Doodle Pops make it so easy and fun to create quick cute cards.

I've definitely made my share of banners, and this one is similar to the birthday one I did a couple of years ago (you can see that one HERE).

I love making diaper cakes.  Sometimes I'll fill them with baby gifts, too, like rattles, pacifiers, bottles, burp cloths, etc.  This time it's just diapers, and I gave her the quilt I made from THIS POST.

Cute paper flags are easy and add a nice touch to the food.

Thanks for visiting.

Doodlebug's Cap & Gown Collection

If you've been wondering where all my Doodlebug blogging has gone- it's because Doodlebug changed the way the design team projects are posted and I don't know which day my projects will be on there until they're there.  I'll catch you up on all my projects.

First off- these cards are on the Doodlebug Blog TODAY! :)

Doodlebug surprised us with a cute little mid-release called Cap & Gown.

Don't adjust your monitor- it's not broken-
Doodlebug removed all it's bright color to bring you a stunning and fun black and white line! :)
And the owls are just great- don't you think?

These little diplomas are found in different sizes as well as in a Mini Diploma kit :)
So cute!

Bella Blvd and Petaloo Team-Up

Guess why I'm so excited!!!???
I got to play with PAPER for the Bella Blvd. design team this month :)  I love their fabrics, of course, but to get to play with the new paper lines was oh-so-much-fun.  Hope I get to do it again! :)

Bella Blvd teamed up with Petaloo to bring you fantastic projects using Bella Blvd's new fun paper lines and embellishments as well as Petaloo's beautiful flowers, brads, and ribbon.  It really was a great team-up because the products coordinate so well.

"Our Wedding Day"

11 years ago... hard to believe.
And I got married before digital photography.
Such a shame :)

I think "Love & Marriage" was my favorite Bella Blvd Winter CHA release.
I love the colors and patterns and the cute icons.
And aren't the flowers a perfect match?  Every paper flower on this layout is from Petaloo.

The rhinestones and jewels are also Petaloo.  I'm loving the new flowers and crochet hearts from Bella Blvd. Such cute and original embellishments.  Love them!

And of course Bella's awesome chipboard.  I'm so in love with their chipboard products.

"Vacation Getaway"

These photos were from a Carnival Cruise to Mexico a few years ago.
That was back before cruise ships broke down every week.

These Petaloo flowers looked tropical to me, so I made a tropical layout about our Puerto Vallarta getaway.  It was the coolest little place in the middle of the Mexican jungle, with waterfalls, and amazing food.

On the way up to the location, there were these gorgeous flowers everywhere, just growing wild.

Chipboard!  Makes you smile, doesn't it? :)

And if you didn't know already, sewing machines sew through chipboard like butter.
I don't recommend it, as it'll probably gum up my machine eventually, but I'll be careful.
I probably do a few too many dangerous things with my sewing machine.....

Happy and bright.

"Bride To Be"

These big pink paper flowers from Petaloo were my favorite of the bunch, so I decided to use them twice.
Another favorite from them- the rose brads.  Aren't they dainty and darling?

The white brads are also from Petaloo, as well as the crochet trim

And of course the feather is from Bella Blvd.  Told you I love them!
This wedding dress just needed to be on a card.  Beautiful.

Visit the Bella Blvd blog for more fun Petaloo and Bella Blvd Team-Up projects.
There's tons of cuteness over there!

Thanks for visiting!

Pebbles Springtime Cards

Honestly I'm a little bummed because making these cards put me into such a spring mood-
and then I woke up this morning to rain and gloomy dark skies.
Hopefully by the end of the day it will be warmer and we can go outside.  The kids are out of school all week and the last thing I want is for everyone to be cooped up in the house for a week.
Mommy might lose it :)

It's "Spring Is In The Air" week over on the Pebbles blog.

I thought "Family Ties" was the perfect little collection for some happy spring cards.
Love the little birds and bird houses.  I can't wait for the leaves to start growing on the trees and for the birds to come back.  We always have a nest at our house- same place every year.  It's fun to see the little ones hatch.

This first one would be a cute little baby card.

And aren't these little birds adorable?
The twine is Canvas Corp and the ribbon is from Stampin' Up!
The label die is a movers and shakers Sizzix die by Tim Holtz.

See more fun spring time projects on the blog all week starting HERE.

Doodlebug's New "Stars & Stripes" Collection

I'm am SOOOOO ready for summer!
Popsicles, warm weather, pinwheels and the 4th of July!!!

I love parades, barbeques, and the whole darn thing.

I just love this new collection.  It's perfection.
The little pinwheel is part of the new Mini Pinwheel Kit from Doodlebug.  I didn't even have to cut it out!
I just added a brad to hold the points together and topped it with the included center piece using a Pop Up Glue Dot.

This collection is super versatile too.
I thought it would be great for a little boy birthday card.

The little airplane sticker is just too cute!
