Doodlebug Fall Wreath and Thankful Layout

This wreath should appear sometime on the Doodlebug Blog, but for now, I thought I'd show you since we're leaving the fall season and entering winter.

The wreath was done by cutting various shaped and sized leaves from my Silhouette Cameo using Doodlebug's Happy Harvest collection.

The leaves were then scored with my Scor-Pal to make them more life-like

And then folded to create dimension

I used grapevine to make the wreath base.  You can either make the wreath this way, by wrapping it in a circle and then tying it with craft (floral) wire,

Or they do make grapevine wreaths already done for you.  I just had grapevine on hand already so that's what I used.  It's a bit difficult to work with and makes a huge mess, so do it outside.

The leaves were all adhered using a glue gun.

And the banner was also cut with the Cameo.  The font is Times New Roman.

I also made this layout for the blog, and since yesterday was Thanksgiving, I wanted to thank you all for being such great supporters of my blog and my work.  I love having great comments and emails from readers.

Thank you!

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends!

I'm so thankful for all of you!

Pebbles "Thirty One" projects!

Every month the Pebbles Design Team makes a couple of extra projects that you will only see on the designers' blogs.  Here are my projects from September.  I used the awesome new "Thirty One" collection.
And today I'm decorating my house for my favorite holiday...
HALLOWEEN!!!

These books are some old encyclopedias that I used as a child for my school assignments.

My sister and mom and some other girls in the family all took some of the books and Mod-Podged them with cute Halloween papers.

Then I used a variety of cute spooky Thickers letter stickers
(Spooky 732303)
(Spooky 732136)
(Prairie 732125)
and (Mercantile 732134)
for the spines to make the book titles

These cadaver tags are kind of adorable, in a gruesome way (decorative tags 732308)

And these chalkboard label stickers are some of my favorites in the collection (732305)

This cute frame features the 6x6 paper pad and the phrase and accent stickers (732304)

Happy Halloween!!!!

Look for more spooky projects this Sunday using an exclusive Halloween collection from American Crafts for Target Stores!

Back To School "Teacher Gift Tower"- Doodlebug Design

Since many of you are going back to school today- you'll love this tutorial I did for Doodlebug Design.
What teacher wouldn't want this as a back-to-school gift?

I personally love this project, and I don't even know how I came up with it,
but it's actually super easy to construct and requires NO ADHESIVE! (besides the card)

Hop over to the Doodlebug Blog post HERE to see the full step-by-step photo tutorial
and then go make one for your favorite teacher.  They'll appreciate it!

Summertime Party with Pebbles!

It's HOT HOT HOT outside here in Utah and I'm ready for a summer filled with swimming and outdoor parties!  I created a little party using the Party with Amy Locurto collection by Pebbles.

The lantern was cut using the Lantern Die by Lifestyle Crafts (from the Tropical Splash release).
The pillow box and other treat boxes were cut using Silhouette files by Lori Whitlock, and the party hat was also cut using the Silhouette with a file by Samantha Walker.

The pics were easy.  I just used the pre-made rosette stickers from the collection, removed the rhinestone from the center and added a scalloped sticker on top.

The card was printed from Word onto vellum and adhered onto the front of patterned paper using vellum adhesive.

The banner was cut using a paper trimmer, and the rosettes were made using American Crafts cardstock and  Tacky Tape.  The letters were done using the Silhouette cameo and a basic font (sorry I can't remember which one) and the tags were simply cut out of a 12x12 sheet of patterned paper from the collection and adhered.  Then I punched holes with a hole punch and threaded the banner with twine.

Easy, cute and fun!

Thanks for visiting!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun- My Mind's Eye Mini Album

I created this mini album for my local scrapbook store, Heartland Paper Company
using the new "My Girl" collection by My Mind's Eye.  It's a display album, hence the lack of photos.

It's definitely one of my favorite mini albums to date.

I really don't know what to say other than you have to own this collection-
it's cuter than I can put into words.

My Mind's Eye is a master of product design.

Enjoy!

The album is a 6x6 Clear Scraps chipboard album, the twine is Doodlebug's Doodle Twine, cardstock is Bazzill, and the ribbon is seam binding ribbon and velvet rick rack from Heartland Paper Company (not sure of the manufacturer).

See the entire My Mind's Eye My Girl Collection and all of their other fabulous collections HERE.
