This month I was able to attend a super fun sewing conference with my mom. She taught me how to sew when I was really young (probably 6?) and I've been sewing off and on ever since.
We made tons of cute projects, and this was one of my favorites. The pattern is a mix of four different E-Notebook covers, but you can get patterns for these devices in a variety of styles. I brought my Bella Blvd fabrics to the conference, and people "ooohhh"ed and "aaaahhhh" ed and swooned over them and all their cuteness. :)
This is actually my husband's Nook, not mine, but I think his cover is lame, so I made a cuter one :)
Don't tell him I think his cover is lame.
I think he already knows.
The Nook is mostly for my kids, though, so this cover is more cutesy and much more padded in case of drops from little fingers onto the ground.
It's loaded with interfacing, fusible fleece, and Pellon Peltex (which is what you use to make fabric projects stiff instead of floppy) so it holds it's shape and is soft and padded.
And there's a pocket on the back for the charger and cords :)
I'll take this cover over the store bought one any day :)
See this project and others at the Bella Blvd blog.
